PotLuck PotLuck!!! Some of you might be wondering What's the definition of PotLuck?


Definition: whatever happens to be available especially when offered to an unexpected guest or when brought by guests and shared by all; "having arrived unannounced we had to take potluck"; "a potluck supper"


I always thought that potluck is meant for Christmas. A gathering during Christmas where everyone cook something and bring over one's house to share.
When my cousin mention PotLuck over at her place on Sat 10Th May, i was like WTF. Isn't potluck meant for Christmas. It's not Christmas now. Oh yes... And of cos she scolded me for tat.
Cousin: " Can you not be so Gugu, Who ever say potluck is only meant for Christmas? It's a gathering when people bring food over and share. U can have potluck during new year, Christmas and anytime of the year. "
I was like OK.... At least with this bit of scolding, i learnt something new. Potluck is not just meant for Christmas season. So i started looking forward for the potluck session.
On the day, we went to Railway Mall with Ade, Kalvert & Cousin to get the ingredients. Was thinking what the hell should i cook? What's the easier thing to cook? keke... Ya i know I'm bad right. Just wanna cook something easy which does not require too much skill. In the end, dumpling soup came across my mind. Simple, Easy, Fast & no matter how lousy my skill is, it will not taste tat bad. kekekeke.
We went back to my cousin place & start preparing. I was the first to cook but the last to finish. I thought it's kind of easy but i missed out the point that i need to wrap the dumpling. WTF. Stupid dumb dumb me. Luckily the dumpling soup taste decent enough. But the feedback by them are the soup is more like STEAMBOAT than it's DUMPLING soup. *_*"
Ingredient used for my dumpling soup : Dumpling ( meat, chestnut, prawn, spring onions ) + Cabbage + Prawns + Fuzhou fish ball + Meat Ball & Golden mushroom.
I'm not a bad cook afterall, so anyone wanna learn cooking from me? Do not hesitate, Just sound me up. I will teach you how to make a Delicious dish ( dumpling soup ) for ye beloved. Wahahaha.
Dishes prepared by them -- Ade make spaghetti which taste really nice. That's the dish i like most. The sauce comes with the fragrant smell of the bacon. Yummy Yummy. The thought of it makes my saliva droop. Cousin prepared salad. Erm... i dun really like Veg so i cant comment much on tat dish but guess it should not be too bad as all the others are eating it. Kalvert prepared a pork meat.... I dun know what is it call. Anyway, it's the blackie thing which you'll see from the picture below. From the appearance, u might think it taste awful. Actually it's quite nice, it's black because he added black soya sauce. ( too much black soya sauce ) haha.

This is just a really short post for the potluck gathering. The next post shall be on my new gadgets. OMG... I'm so excited to shall how i beautify my gadgets. Wahahaha. Check it ot soon..... I'm going to work on it now. Although it's PH tmr but i think i still got to turn in early. Came home at 5 plus in the morning today after a gathering. Shall post on tat soon as well. I got so MUCH to update but no TIME. OMG... I'm a busy princess, Or am i just trying to act busy when I'm not???

Old School Gathering

It's been a month since i last update my blog. Been really busy and tired out at wk. Busy searching for templates & changing the concept and skin of my blog as well. Had upload this photo sometimes ago but do not have the time to add in the texts. This POST shall be on the Old School Gathering held on 3rd May 2008.
Went to Dbl O for the gathering. It's such a great night out with those guys. It's been like 8 years since we meet up for some fun. The kind of feelings are really good. Just like back to old school days. When we were still young & energetic. i dun mean that we r old now but you know when u r still in secondary school, there r no stress, no commitment, no worries & all. Everyday is just about going to sch to study & to play. Wahaha. Missing school days life.
Erm... Although this group of people used to be from a different class as me but somehow we do click.

We were in the same class in Sec 2. We sat beside each other & was talking all day long. Sneaking snacks into class to munch on acting as if we are in a picnic. Getting punished together for being naughty and talkative. Were asked to sit back face back / each standing at one of the front & back door but nothing can stop us from talking. We tense to speak even louder in order to be heard. Hahaha. At the end of the day, the teachers are being left with no choice but to stop punishing us and allowed us back to our seats so we'll talk softly.

Was in the same class as him in Sec 4 i guess. If my memory allows, he was sitting just the row beside me. Wonder Y would a tall guy like him sits in the first row? Anyway, he have really long legs. Like spreading his leg so wide and putting them straight while sitting down. Don't he realise back then tat he is blocking people's way and it's irritating? Hahaha. Oh ya... And he likes calling me my Chinese name which i hated most. I almost killed him for that. But i do like making fun of him back then & trigger a quarrel with him cos he is a nerdy. Hahaha.

They just from the class next door. They are really fun people i should say. They are the people who take part in events on National Day, Racial Harmony Day & so on. That's the spirits that can never be found in my class i guess. With them around, there will always be Fun & Laughter.
Now that we have all grown up. Everyone is going on a different path in life. All the boy are now called " MAN " after army. All the girls are now called " LADY " after .......... ( whatever you think that is ) *_*
All of us have change so much, in terms of appearance, personality, attitude & all. Whatever it is, Whichever route you guys wish to take in future, I wish you all the best of luck.

Oh ya ! I almost forgot to mention what happen after our night at Dbl O. I believe all of you know about the BAT KUT TEH at MS opposite 7-11. I strongly advice you guys not to visit that store.

Firstly it's NOT nice at all. Secondly it's damn ex loh. Not sure if the CHINA AUNTIE trying to cheat on us when she knows we r high or what so ever. Where the hell on earth will a Pot ( size of a small curry fish head claypot ) of BAT KUT TEH cost $35 ??? Do we look like carrot head to her? Does all carrot head in China look so pretty & handsome ??? Wahaha...

And Han Chua was telling the auntie off.

Han Chua : " Auntie you wanna cheat on us is it ? $35 for a bowl of BAT KUT TEH. You think the BAT KUT make of gold ? "

Auntie : " No lah, 3 piece of meat for $5. There are 21 pieces here so it's $35 loh. You dun believe you can count. " ( In a glance, you'll see it's less than 21 pieces )

Han Chua : " Auntie, where got 21 pieces ? You dun cheat me when i'm drunk ok ! I'm not drunk at all loh "

( Han Chua was not quarrelling with auntie, Just in a joking manner )

We did not eat the BAT KUT at all loh, we just drink the soup. When we asked the auntie for the soup to be refilled, she said ok but she dare not come to our table or look at us at all. * She must be feeling guilty for cheating us on a $35 BAT KUT TEH *
